About

You don't have to carry it all.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples in their 20s and 30s who want to gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of childhood experiences. A special welcome to 2nd and 3rd-generation Korean-Americans working through generational trauma, the generational/cultural gap, parent/adult child relationships, and family relationships. During our sessions, we can discuss a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the following: - Healing from professional or personal burnout - Saying "no" without guilt and setting boundaries that stick - Understanding and regulating big, uncomfortable emotions - Overcoming isolation and building meaningful connections - Navigating constant anxiety or the feeling of being overwhelmed - Balancing the demands of motherhood with your own personal growth For couples, I provide support with: - Deepening your friendship with one another - Getting to the root of repetitive, exhausting fights - Replacing defensive habits with soft, clear communication - Building shared goals and a unified vision for your future - Learning how to say what you really feel without starting a battle - Transforming moments of conflict into opportunities for understanding - Premarital assessments (SYMBIS) Currently, I only provide online therapy for clients located in California. I am out-of-network, which means I don't directly bill insurance. However, I can provide a super-bill invoice after your sessions. Before starting therapy, please reach out to your insurance provider to discuss the potential for reimbursement for seeing an out-of-network therapist. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I completed my Master's Degree at Western Seminary, San Jose. My B.A. is in Communications from the University of California, San Diego. I am bilingual in Korean and English. I have received training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the LOVAAS Institute and also in the Process Therapy Model from the Process Therapy Institute. Additionally, I am certified in SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) assessment for premarital couples.
